WED is a program of the California Labor Federation
Through its Workforce and Economic Development Program (WED), the California Labor Federation is positioning labor as the catalyst in building strategic local and regional workforce investment alliances for transitioning to a more equitable and environmentally sustainable economy. No one union, organization, or public agency alone can address the economic challenges facing working families or the workforce needs of critical industries. WED serves as labor’s resource in California for building effective workforce and economic development systems that create high wage jobs, economic opportunity, new partnerships, and stronger communities.
